Rebecca Kapogiannis, Chair of the Board of Directors of the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital (STEGH) Foundation, is pleased to announce the election of two new Board Members at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 7, 2024. The newly appointed Directors are Brandon Dumouchelle and Melinda TeKare.
Brandon brings with him 10 years of expertise in sales management as the General Manager of the St. Thomas Ford Lincoln dealership. He is well versed in financial statements, operations, and customer relationship management. With an interest in fundraising and finance, Brandon hopes to help propel the Foundation forward, using his skillset to raise funds for healthcare in our community.
Melinda is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) currently working in financial services as the Senior Manager of Finance at Libro Credit Union. She has also served on the Finance Committee of the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame. Melinda brings over a decade of experience in auditing, financial operations, reporting, and analysis.
Retiring from the Board this year is Judy Thorner, whose many contributions to STEGH Foundation has helped raise awareness about our hospital and the importance of healthcare close to home. While on the Board, Judy also served as the Chair of the Governance & Nominating Committee.
Brandon and Melinda, alongside our other Board members, will play a vital volunteer role as they oversee our Foundation’s mission to partner with the community to support our Hospital in the delivery of excellent patient care.
STEGH Foundation is truly grateful for the ongoing support of both past and present Board members who dedicate countless volunteer hours in support of the Foundation and our hospital.
The STEGH Foundation is dedicated to ensuring access to essential, lifesaving equipment and excellence in patient care. Our team is driven by the commitment to provide heartfelt healthcare to our tight-knit community. We believe that when our family, friends, and neighbours need care, it should be available locally, not in the next city over. This commitment requires us to rely on each other to provide the best possible care, retain top healthcare professionals, and maintain trust in our local hospital. Together, we achieve this every day.
